Lee Tae-Jin
Abstract
Objectives: To analyze and evaluate pharmaceutical economic evaluation studies which have been published in Korea since 2007.

Methods: Based on a comprehensive search for pharmaceutical economic evaluation researches, we selected 31 papers. And we analyzed those papers according to the research structure, process, and outcome.

Results: 26 out of 31 papers were done for the afterreimbursed pharmaceutical. Most researches were done according to the economic evaluation guideline which was updated in 2011. But time horizon, data search and quality assessment, cost identification, equity, and budget impact analysis provisions in the guideline were not abided by in many papers.

Conclusion: In order to help with allocation of scarce resource, it is necessary to derive valid results from pharmaceutical economic evaluation, and to establish a mechanism for social value evaluation including threshold setting.
